DENTAL CROWNS

If your child has a problem with an adult tooth and a regular filling isn’t suitable, a dental crown is a very good option. It will cover the tooth, reproducing its normal shape and size, while also making it both stronger and more functional.

Dental Crowns can:

• Cover a tooth when there isn’t enough of the original tooth left.

• Protect a weak tooth from breaking or replace it if it’s already broken.

• Cover a tooth that’s either discolored or crooked.

• Cover a dental implant.

You have a choice of several different materials for the crown, from metal to tooth-colored, and your Vital Smiles professional will explain the differences and work with you to choose the best one for your child.

Dental crowns, like most of our services, are covered by Medicaid, ALL Kids and most dental insurance.
