TOOTH EXTRACTION

There are times when a tooth can crack, break or become so crooked, diseased or decayed that it can’t be saved.

The loss of a permanent tooth or the early loss of a primary tooth can make a child or parent nervous. At Vital Smiles, if it becomes necessary to pull a tooth, then our experienced doctors and staff work to make the procedure as simple as possible while also making sure the child is comfortable. Your Vital Smiles dentist can also discuss with you the consequences of tooth loss and help develop a treatment plan to address the issue.

And remember, though having a toothache can indicate a problem, it doesn’t always lead to tooth extraction, and you should always have it looked at as soon as possible. At Vital Smiles, when a child has any kind of dental emergency, it’s not necessary to wait for an appointment. You can come in during our regular hours, and while you may have to wait if we’re busy, we will see you.

Tooth extractions, like most of our dental procedures, are covered by Medicaid, ALL Kids and most dental insurance.
